To update your website you must create the website files and then transfer it to the server in the "public_html" directory.

The way to create the files is dependent on your skill level. Advanced users will likely edit the code directly where as other users prefer using software to help create the content.

ADVANCED - EDITING CODE DIRECTLY

To transfer the files to the server use your favorite FTP program. If you do not have an FTP program, we recommend the use of FileZilla which can be obtained for FREE at http://filezilla-project.org Instructions on how to use FileZilla can be found at http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Using

You will need to provide your FTP username and password when accessing the server. This is not the same username and password used to access your account on our website. If you are uncertain what your FTP password is, login to your account at GJinternetSolutions.com and then click on "My Products & Services". Choose the website you want to edit from the list of hosting accounts you have and click on the corresponding "View Details" link. You will be presented with your username and the option to change your password.

EDITING VIA A SOFTWARE PROGRAM

The software will help you build the website by allowing you to create the site in a user friendly format and then simply output the code which is ready to send to the server (our it may save it directly). If you do not have a software program, we recommend you access your cPanel. Once in the cPanel, navigate to the "Software" section and then install "WordPress". There are numerous videos at this link that can help you configure WordPress
